« I wanted to choose a woman artist and I spontaneously thought of Niki de Saint Phalle. I particularly appreciate her early works - the series of "Shots", which she made with a rifle, is incredibly powerful. »

Close to the New Realists movement, Niki de Saint-Phalle has made her work the site of many battles. Famous thanks to her Pistol Shooting since the 1960s, one will also remember her Nanas, sculptures of powerful and colorful women. In the 1980s, she was among the first artists to become involved in the fight against AIDS.
