Marie-Agnès Gillot (1975)
By Jean-Michel Othoniel (Saint- Etienne, 1964)
Acrylic on photo print
« I have admired Marie-Agnès Gillot for a very long time, her art but also her media positioning, her commitment to the status of women and to hospitalized children. »
Dancer and choreographer, Marie Agnès Gillot was named principal dancer in 2004 following a performance in contemporary dance (during the performance of Carolyn Carlson's Signs), a true exception to the rule. She bids farewell to the stage on March 31, 2018 during a performance of Orphée et Eurydice choreographed by Pina Bausch.
