« I had to choose a muse, I chose an artist. She holds a special place in the history of art. ...] Let history remember Niki de Saint Phalle more than Jean Tinguely, what justice ! »
Close to the New Realists movement, Niki de Saint-Phalle has made her work the site of many battles. Famous thanks to her Pistol Shooting since the 1960s, one will also remember her Nanas, sculptures of powerful and colorful women. In the 1980s, she was among the first artists to become involved in the fight against AIDS.
