« Confronted with the executioner of her father and so many other opponents, Candice Mama made the choice of forgiveness. After years of mourning and anger, she questioned herself deeply and realized that she had no other choice to move forward. »

In South Africa, confronted with police colonel Eugene de Kock, the assassin of her father (a political opponent tortured during apartheid), Candice Mama grants him leniency. An activist for happiness and advocate of forgiveness in the post-apartheid context, she is a member of the AIME program in South Africa that accompanies disadvantaged indigenous children.
