Born Louise Ciccone, Madonna has since been consecrated " Queen of Pop ". Her innovative songs, as well as her commitment to various humanitarian causes (defending the rights of LGBTQI+ people, helping situations of extreme poverty in Malawi in particular) make her an icon of modern times.
